Airports Authority Employees Union is a recognized multi cadre union in the Airports Authority of India and duly registered under the Trade Unions Act, 1926 (Registration No. 3515) issued by the Registrar of Trade Unions, Govt. of Delhi. union has been recognized by the Airports Authority of India since 1997 onwards on the basis of secret ballot elections conducted by the AAI on All India Basis for a period of each five years terms. In its earlier form the union was known as Civil Aviation Department Employees' Union and National Airports authority Employees Union.
AAEU has been working for the employees of civil aviation sector since the past (six) 6 decades as a responsible friend of its members at all the 127 Airports right from the Agatti to Agartala & Kanyakumari to Kashmir having full democratic values. This strong organisation of employees is an independent organisation free from any political affiliations .
